Come to City Council’s Public Hearing!
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30th, 10 am - Four citywide anti-hunger groups, along with their clients and supporters, will speak at the City Council Public Hearing on Monday, Nov. 30th from 10am-12pm. These groups will ask City Council for funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), a grant the city receives from the federal government.
Now, more than ever, as we watch skyrocketing unemployment across the country and the highest number of people (over 1/5 of whom are children) experiencing hunger, the city has a responsibility to address the basic needs of our citizens.
