Three ways to help fight hunger and poverty on Giving Tuesday

Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday….

How about a break from all the shopping madness with Giving Tuesday?

This year marks the nation’s second annual Giving Tuesday: a day for us all to take stock – not of our gift lists or the store sales, but of ways to give back to our communities.

Sometimes giving means dollars. Sometimes it doesn’t.

Here are great – and totally different – ways you can help fight hunger and poverty for many days to come. All it takes today is a commitment.

Number 1

Wigle Whiskey Happy Hour

Mon. December 9, 5:30-8:30pm:

No one puts the “fun” in fundraiser like Wigle Whiskey. Their Monday Bantam Nights are a great way for friends, fellow advocates, and plain old whiskey enthusiasts to gather and raise a glass or two in support of good works.

Bring your coworkers, your friends – heck, bring your family. There’s nothing and nobody the feisty Wigle can’t handle.

Number 2

Pledge 25 Seeds of Justice

In honor of the October celebration of our 25th Annual Harvest Dinner, we’ve devised a number of opportunities – 25 of them, to be exact – for you to demonstrate your commitment to Just Harvest.

Wish more was being done to fight back against those shredding the social safety net? Help Just Harvest grow to meet these challenges!

The Pledge 25 Campaign is designed around your interests: whether it’s donating dollars, volunteering your time, or spreading the word.
