Just Harvest Is a Semifinalist in the UpPrize Competition

Just Harvest is partnering with mobile app developer Propel to create an easy way for Pennsylvanians to apply for food stamps on their smartphones. Our proposal is now one of 20 semifinalists for the UpPrize, BNY Mellon Social Innovation Challenge—”a competition for entrepreneurs working to solve important problems of our day.”

Designed in partnership with more than 100 nonprofit organizations, the UpPrize challenge invites entrepreneurs to change the world for the better. 2015 awards will include cash grants and investments, as well as additional benefits and support for a total prize value expected to be in excess of $1 million. This includes $800,000 in cash grants and investments from BNY Mellon and the BNY Mellon Foundation of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Learn more about our UpPrize submission in this video, created by Just Harvest staffer James Tedrow.

Just Harvest thanks BNY Mellon and Forbes Funds for this opportunity and congratulates our fellow semifinalists.
