When the Shop ‘n Save in the Hill District closed in March it was devastating for the Hill District community.  Without a grocery store in the neighborhood, many residents have to travel outside of their neighborhood to access fresh produce and other grocery items.

Just Harvest along with the Hill District CDC and other partner organizations have been working on a way to fill the produce gap and provide fresh food access in the community.

One way that Just Harvest is helping to fill the void is through the Fresh Corners program. Fresh Corners staff recently added Ann’s Market, located at 2316 Webster Ave in the Hill District, to their list of partner corner stores.

Ann’s Market has been a community staple for grocery items for years, but was previously unable to carry produce due to financial constraints. The Fresh Corners program will be working with the owners of Ann’s Market to provide them with grant money and marketing assistance so that they can start carrying at least ten varieties of produce at all times to support Hill District residents!

Ten varieties of fresh produce are now available at Ann’s.  Please stop in the store and show your support for Ann’s Market and the Fresh Corners program.

Store Location: 2316 Webster Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15219
