There is one week left to submit a public comment in support of Paid Parental Leave for the people of Allegheny County. Submit your comment by 11:59 on June 16th.

Allegheny County Health Department has proposed Paid Parental Leave (Article XXIV) – which would require a minimum of 18 weeks leave to parents who have been employees for at least 30 days. Read more here from Pittsburgh’s Public Source on the recent proposal.

  • Improve public health – for infants, birthing parents, families and communities

  • Protect hard working families from financial strain and stress

  • Advance health equity and address racial and class disparities to health access
