San Giorgio’s 100th Anniversary festivities kicked off with a recipe contest and a cooking competition for three contest finalists in each of the three cities. The Pittsburgh cook-off was hosted on September 16 by Carmela and Jolina Giaramita of Mt. Washington’s La Tavola Italiana. Chris Fennimore of QED Cooks and Mike Clark of ABC’s Pittsburgh Action News 4 joined the Giaramitas as judges in the cook-off, awarding Dawn Moore with the Grand Prize of $5,000.

Local chefs will help the city contest winner dish out tastes of their winning recipe and some San Giorgio pasta family favorites.

The San Giorgio 100th Anniversary Food Truck will also be making stops in other cities across the region to serve free pasta for all to enjoy. For information on food truck stops, visit: www.sangiorgio.com/foodtruck
