Protect the Pittsburgh Food Justice Fund

Help ensure that our communities across Pittsburgh have access to the food they need -- and that the $500,000 allocated for the Pittsburgh Food Justice Fund in the 2026 Parks and Recreation budget remains protected. While the city is making major financial decisions and crucial investments, our leaders need to hear from us all.

Here at Just Harvest, we have seen firsthand the impact of harsh policy changes and the rising cost of food on families. Families are now facing devastating changes to SNAP, and an ongoing attack against the social safety net. The Pittsburgh Food Justice Fund provides an opportunity to connect these families with support, and invest in a future where everyone has access to affordable, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food.

One in five Pittsburgh residents is food insecure. We need to invest in solutions that address and eliminate barriers to healthy food. Please join us, and sign on to the letter by Thursday, March 26th at 5PM.
