The U.S. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is proposing to prohibit mixed-status families from living in HUD-assisted housing or receiving housing assistance. This proposed rule will force families with mixed immigration status to either face eviction and homelessness, or break up the household.

According to Keeping Families Together, 80,000 people could be evicted from their homes. That includes 37,000 children, nearly all of whom are themselves U.S. citizens.”
